Christmas is over … we’ve spent way too much money (again) … and we’re dreading the bills to come.

All that being said, I wasn’t amazed that the Local Email Club Profits program was so complete (I wouldn’t have expected anything else from Leo Quinn). What did amaze me, though, was that I received the package in 2 days from ordering it online! Excellent start!

Is there really any legitimate way to earn money with your computer online?

Almost two years ago, in November of 2007, I wrote a post about Leo Quinn’s very popular get-out-of-debt program, ”How To Own Your Paycheck Again”.

Really Cool Internet Marketing Training

I realize that all sites don’t appeal to everyone (that’s why we have chocolate, strawberry and vanilla, right?)

But when I run across really cool sites…no matter what category…I feel compelled to report.

I have been watching this really comprehensive, all-inclusive Internet Marketing Training site. (Yeah, I know…”everyone” has one…and they usually leave us “hanging”.)Like how they discuss one or two topics and then leave everyone to figure out the rest of the story on their own. Especially if it’s “f-r-e-e”.

Not this one…it’s amazing…I’d say it has more stuff on Internet Marketing in one place than I’ve seen…good, useful stuff…(not a bunch of junk and hype…) and it’s a f*r*e*e 30-day training program!

If you are having problems with your vehicle, or are considering a purchase, you just might want to check out this site.

Really Cool (and Easy) Website Builder

If you’ve unsuccessfully tried to build a professional-looking website, or if trying to build one sounds a little too daunting, I’ve got a really cool resource for you today!

After I had been playing around on the Internet for awhile, and had become a little more comfortable with it, I really wanted to create a website or blog.

Depending on your technical skills and understanding of html, (of which I have exactly NEITHER) there are many different ways to go with this, and I tried several myself, including Ken Evoy’s Site Builder, Yahoo’s Website Builder, Geocities, WordPress, Microsoft’s page builder, and more.

And while I know that all of them are great and have their fans, the one that clicked with me the most was the Website Builder on … are you ready for this(?) … VistaPrint!

Not what you were expecting, huh?

VistaPrint seems to me to be a perfect example of “hiding in plain sight”.

It is a full-service printing company with over 17 million satisfied customers, but most people I talk to have never heard of it!

I actually discovered it through the recommendation of a friend when I needed some inexpensive but professional-looking business cards. Since then I’ve ordered everything, from brochures, flyers, magnets, yard signs, postcards, car magnets, etc., and I’ve never failed to be amazed at their quality and service, not to mention their great prices!

When I discovered that they also offered a website builder, naturally I had to give that a try as well! Talk about gorgeous, easy and cheap! (They start at 3 pages for $9.95 a month, complete with hosting … and have all kinds of extra features, as well… from putting a map of your location to adding all kinds of pictures in different formats to adding forms … and an email address to match your website is included!)

I’ve designed 3 totally different websites thru VistaPrint.

12-06-2009 UPDATE: As you probably already know, I use VistaPrint almost exclusively for both my printing and online needs. Recently, I ordered business cards, postcards, etc. for a new email service I am offering to my local community businesses: ( www.KeepingInTouchToday.com , if you’re interested. )

When I received my order, I noticed that the color blue on the business cards (more of a ‘navy’) didn’t exactly match the color blue on the postcards (more of a ‘royal’ - which I preferred, and thought I was receiving.)

It wasn’t that big of a deal, but I emailed VistaPrint customer support and asked them to please make a note that future orders be printed in the preferred ‘royal’ blue.

The only response I received from them was that the replacement order was on its way (!) Incredible! No ifs, ands or buts… no hassle. I didn’t even ask for a replacement! They just did it automatically.

Now, that’s what I call “customer service”!

There is a paid-upgrade service, which I’m sure is awesome, but the free version of the create-a-form I used seemed to work just fine for me. Try it! All kinds of cool things to enhance your website, blog, etc.

Cigarette Fund for Disabled Veterans

Whether or not you agree with smoking, some of our Disabled Veterans in Nursing Homes do smoke, and have little else to look forward to during the day than “smoke breaks”.

Additionally, if on Medicaid, they receive a total of $40 per month in “spending money” to spend as they like.

Smokers know that the cost of cigarettes is rapidly approaching “sky-high”…even Generic brands !

At this point in time, some Veterans can’t afford much more than one carton of cigarettes a month, and if you are a smoker yourself, you know that is really a “s-t-r-e-t-c-h”!

I have no doubt that I will receive some flack for this, but I am committing to VetsNiteOut.org to help raise some money for cigarettes for Disabled Veterans. If you would care to chip-in a little, you can use my “Chip-In” widget at the top of this page.

Happy New Year!

Yes, I know, it’s been way too long. Sorry about that. My bad.

Actually, it hasn’t been that I haven’t had anything to report … it’s just that I have been knee-deep in helping with another project for the past 4 months … one that I am actually very proud to be part of.

In a nutshell, there is this guy in Tennessee, USA, who, in his spare time, goes around asking different restaurants if they would be willing to treat a few Disabled Veterans living in Nursing Homes to an occasional nice meal, or Nite*Out… (as a token of respect and appreciation for those who served our great Country).

And the response has been truly overwhelming! I don’t believe he’s had anyone say “no” yet!

It’s really a win-win idea! The Veterans have a great time getting out for awhile, and the restaurants are proud to have them!

Also includes actual comments by people who purchased.

I was a little disappointed in one of the things I would have appreciated info on: online pet medications/pharmacies. I’m sure the info is probably covered in one of the topics on Pets, it just would have been nice if it had been more readily available or easily accessible for the “short on time and patience” folks like myself.

I love this site!

Not only is it true to its name, but it is very light and refreshing. They seem to have combined the best of “providing information” with “community”, as apparently anyone can add their own “2-cents”.

I’m usually not all that big on “social sites”, perse, but this one I really like!

Today’s home page alone offers info on “how to safely take down Christmas decorations”, ”how to do eye make-up”, “how to cool an over-heated engine”, “how to live a simpler, sweeter life”, “how to use 4-wheel drive in snow”, and on and on … one could probably pretty safely say that there is something for everyone at eHow. Very diverse and “friendly-feeling”. Check it out!
